BUF Wins Round 1 of the Reginal Tournament in a Double Overtime battle

An awards banquet kicked off the Regional Tournament on Thursday morning, February 26, 2026. All 6 teams from the South Region were represented.
For BUF, Solomon Sutton was named to the All-Freshman Team. Omari Henry earned All-Freshman honors and was also selected to the 2nd Team All-Region. Jordon Isaac was named 1st Team All-Region, earned Freshman Player of the Year, and was also selected to the All-Freshman Team

Toccoa, GA - That afternoon, BUF took on PCC for the third time this season. BUF won 99–65 when the teams met in Graceville and dropped the first meeting 73–90. The third matchup was much closer.
BUF fell behind early, 2–13, but a KJ Johnson three-pointer cut the deficit to 17–19 with 11:25 left in the half. The same starting five of Solomon Sutton, Jordan Isaac, KJ Johnson, Joshua Good, and Omari Henry took the floor for BUF. Down four, Omari Henry drove to the basket and finished through contact. He converted the free throw to make it a one-point game at 37–38 with just under three minutes remaining.
A few minutes later, Isaac came up with a steal and dished to Oliver Pratt, who again trimmed it to a one-point game at 41–42 with 1:20 left in the half. The next time BUF had possession Sutton got it inside took 2 dribbles backing down his defender, got another to converge and he kicked it to Johnson for 3 taking a 2-point lead 44-42. PCC answered on the next trip to tie the game, but before the half ended Johnson knocked down a fade away jumper to give BUF a 46–44 advantage at the break.

To begin the 2nd half, Good got the scoring started by hitting a 3-pointer to put BUF up 5. In the 1st half, Isaac was relatively quiet by his standards, scoring 7 points and going 2-2 from the foul line, but he began to take over after the break. 3 minutes in, he went back to the line and knocked down a pair to keep BUF ahead 51-46.
PCC responded with a run to tie the game at 53-53, but Pratt answered with a 3 to stop the momentum. On the next possession, Henry drove and dumped it off to Donte Hubert-Bonner for a 2-handed dunk, pushing the lead back to 5 at 58-53. PCC battled back again, scoring 9 unanswered points to take a 61-58 lead. Isaac returned to the line to cut into the deficit, and Valentine Lara hit a 3 to regain the lead with 11:22 left.
The teams continued to trade baskets. Down 2, Henry hit a jumper in the lane to tie the game 64-64 with 10:45 remaining. Later, trailing by 4, Henry penetrated and kicked it out to an open Isaac for 3, making it 70-69 with 8:31 left. Down 6, Good hit a key 3-pointer to cut it to 3 after Isaac drove, drew the defense, and kicked it out to the open man.
With 4:19 remaining and down 6 again, Isaac jumped the passing lane for a steal and found Johnson for a layup to cut the deficit to 4. With 2:58 left, PCC took its largest lead of the 2nd half, going up 7, 86-79. Coach Hughes called a timeout, and his team responded. Facing elimination, the Eagles refused to go home. PCC tried to shield Isaac from getting the ball, but Henry found him, and Isaac knocked down 2 free throws to make it a 5-point game.
On the next possession, Henry controlled the offense from the top of the key and hit a jumper to cut the deficit to 3 with just under 2 minutes remaining. Isaac grabbed a defensive rebound and was fouled bringing the ball up the floor, then made both free throws. After another PCC miss, Henry secured the rebound and found Isaac, who drove and scored to give BUF an 87-86 lead—an 8-0 run out of the timeout and a 1-point advantage with 42 seconds left.
PCC answered with a 3 with 25 seconds remaining to go back up 2. With 12 seconds left, BUF missed a shot, but Henry soared in for the offensive rebound and the putback to tie the game at 89-89. As the clock wound down, Sutton jumped out to contest a last-second attempt, forcing a rushed pass and shot. For the 2nd game in a row, the BUF Eagles were headed to overtime.

In OT, PCC scored first to make it 89-91, but Isaac got to the line and tied it back up at 91-91. It was then tied 93-93 before a 4-0 PCC run gave them a 4-point lead with 1:50 left. Coach Hughes again called a timeout, and his team responded. Johnson grabbed a rebound and found Isaac, then got open for 3 and was ready to knock down the kick-out when the ball came back to him, cutting the deficit to 1. Isaac then drove and hit a layup to give BUF a 98-97 lead with 21 seconds left. PCC answered with an and-1 on the other end to go up 100-98 with 18 seconds remaining. Isaac came right back and scored to tie it 100-100 with 6 seconds left. Once again, BUF defended the final shot, and this time Isaac blocked it to send the game to 2nd overtime.

In 2OT, PCC scored the first 4 points and went up 5 with 3:22 left (107-102). Pratt found Isaac, who cut it to 3, and then Isaac got to the line and trimmed it to 1 with under 2 minutes remaining. PCC scored again to make it 109-106, but BUF closed the game on a 6-0 run. A Henry basket cut the deficit to 1, and an Isaac euro step gave BUF a 1-point lead. With 16 seconds left, Isaac went to the line and hit both free throws. In the 2 overtimes alone, Isaac scored 14 points. Additionally, he made 14 free throws in the 2nd half and OT.

Jordan Isaac finished with 34 points and 10 rebounds. Omari Henry added 31 points. Henry and Isaac were the only 2 players to score in double overtime. KJ Johnson tied his season high with 22 points, Solomon Sutton had 10 rebounds and also of note Joshua Good went 3-3 from 3.
