Box Score Thursday afternoon, February 19, 2026, BUF took on the 6th-ranked team in the NCCAA Division II power rankings,
Bob Jones University. The last time these teams met in Graceville, it was a close contest decided by 5 points. Despite the difference in rankings and class standings, the two South Region teams were facing off in a rescheduled matchup from a few weeks earlier due to weather in South Carolina.

Overall, Bob Jones' roster features 3 seniors, 3 juniors, and 3 sophomores, while BUF's roster is made up entirely of freshmen. On paper, the differences were clear - but on the court, the Eagles looked to prove that appearances can be deceiving.
The game opened with a Good assist to Sutton to give BUF a 2-0 lead. BJU answered to tie it 2-2, then Johnson knocked down a 3 to make it 5-2. The Bruins responded with a 3 of their own to tie it 5-5. The first 2 minutes set the tone for what would be a highly competitive game. Sutton forced a miss, grabbed the rebound, and went coast-to-coast for a finish at the rim. Isaac began heating up, scoring a layup, 2 3-pointers, and a pair of free throws to make it 17-21 with 12:27 left. He then added a steal and fast-break layup to cut the deficit to 2 points.
Oliver Pratt, the team's leader in bench points, hit a 3 to make it 25-26. After a BJU 3, Henry converted a jumper while being fouled and completed the 3-point play to trim the deficit to 1 with just over 10 minutes left in the half. Down 28-31, the Eagles went on a 9-2 run to take the lead. Isaac hit a layup, Johnson buried a 3, Henry finished a layup off an Isaac assist, and Isaac added another layup to push the lead to 4.
Henry later hit a 3 and Johnson added a jumper to extend the lead to 7 with 5:58 left. With 3:40 remaining, Donte Hubbert-Bonner grabbed an offensive rebound and scored to keep the lead at 7. At 2:47, Good knocked down a 3 to give BUF its largest lead of the half at 8. Isaac scored his 21st point of the half with under a minute to play, but BJU closed on a 5-0 run in the final 45 seconds. BUF led 58-55 at halftime.
BJU opened the second half with 4 straight points to take a 60-59 lead, but Isaac responded immediately with a 3. Over the next 7 minutes, however, BJU outscored BUF 27-14 and built a 94-82 lead with just over 10 minutes remaining.
The Eagles answered behind Isaac, who scored 12 of the next 14 BUF points during a 14-0 run. He hit a 3, 2 layups, and 2 free throws. With 6:34 left, BUF led by 2. Isaac drained another 3 to push the lead to 5, and Sutton added 2 free throws to make it a 7-point advantage with 3:48 remaining.
BJU responded with 2 3s and a layup to tie the game at 105-105 with 1:48 left. The 105 points marked BUF's highest total of the season. Sutton was fouled with 1:14 remaining and calmly hit both free throws to give BUF a 2-point lead. BJU answered at the line as well, and the game became a free-throw battle. With 22 seconds left, BJU held for the final shot but defended tightly by Henry, was forced into a rushed attempt as the shot clock expired.
BUF had 1.2 seconds left but could not advance the ball, and regulation ended with a half-court heave. The teams were headed to overtime tied 105-105.
In OT, the Bruins opened with a 3. Johnson answered with a jumper, but BJU hit another 3. Down 3, Sutton got the ball passing up, he spun and scored inside to cut it to 1. Henry tied the game at 116-116 with 3:12 left. Shortly after, Isaac was called for his 5th foul and fouled out - a pivotal moment.
BJU pushed the lead to 4, the largest of OT. Refusing to back down, Good fed Sutton in the post, where he spun to the basket for a layup. With 1:16 left and down 2, Coach Hughes called timeout. Sutton forced a turnover on the defensive end. When BUF got the ball back the defensive attention was clear, but Henry attacked the basket regardless and split a double team before finishing off the glass to tie the game with 42 seconds left.
After another defensive stop, Johnson launched a half-court shot at the buzzer that hit the backboard and rim but bounced out. The game moved to 2OT tied 122-122.
In 2OT, Henry scored the first 2 BUF baskets, giving the Eagles a 1-point lead after 90 seconds. However, without Isaac - who had hit 8 3s in the game - the loss proved costly. BJU closed the final 1:45 on a 7-0 run to win the 2OT thriller 139-133.
BUF's 133 points shattered their previous season high of 103.
Jordan Isaac finished with 43 points on 15 made field goals and 8 made 3-pointers—all individual team highs for a single game this season. He ended the year with 455 total points, averaging 18.2 per game.
Omari Henry scored 23 points, including 10 in overtime.
Solomon Sutton added 20 points and 15 rebounds, setting a new season high in points and tying his season best in rebounds. On the year, Sutton led the team with 138 total rebounds and averaged 7.3 per game despite missing 7 games due to injury.
KJ Johnson contributed 18 points, and
Joshua Good added 10 in a historic, hard-fought battle that showcased the heart and growth of a young Eagles squad.
