The BUF men's and women's cross country teams competed Friday, September 11, at the HOKA Nights of Thunder XC Run Fest, with the men opening their season and the women competing in their second event of the season.
For the men, Gabe Pearson led the Eagles with a time of 33:48, qualifying for the NCCAA DII Cross Country National Championship for the second consecutive year. Barrett Jones followed with a time of 38:44.Â
On the women's side, Makayla Price led the Lady Eagles with a time of 28:40, improving on her previous meet time of 29:29. Danika Rogers finished with a time of 29:09, while Stefanie Donahey recorded a time of 31:06, improving from her previous time of 31:23.
The Eagles will return to competition on Friday, September 18, when BUF hosts the inaugural BUF XC Invitational in Panama City.
