Box Score Graceville, FL – Saturday the Lady Eagles competed in their final home game of the season against 21-8 Lurleen B. Wallace a community college out of Andalusia, Alabama. In set-1 BUF jumped out to a 5-2 lead but a 3-point margin would be the biggest advantage by either team until the final point. Leads were difficult to sustain in this set as the teams were tied 8 different times. Following a 15-15 tie BUF was able to go up 18-15 but LBW closed on a 10-3 run, winning 25-21. Set number 2 was tied at 5 a piece but LBW ended doubling up the Eagles with a 20-10 run, winning by a score of 25-15. In set-3 the Eagles were determined to not lose their final home game in a sweep with LBW up 2-sets to 0. The Lady Eagles went up 4-1 but LBW responded with a 6-0 run making it 4-7. In total set 3 was tied 9 times, and just 1 of these came before 9-9. The 3^rd set was tied at 4,9,10,11,13,15,16,17, and 20. This was a competitive set, and the Eagles were trying hard to win but after that 20-20 tie LBW won the final 5 points, taking the set 25-20 and taking the match 3 sets to 0. 

For the Eagles, Sophia Santos, who has been battling injury this season, started all the 3 sets and tied for the team lead in kill percentage (.214). She will be a valuable piece to have back healthy for the regional tournament. Also returning from injury in this game, after missing close to a month, was Leticia Amaral, she played in all 3 sets for the Eagles and had 8 assists, which was 2^nd on the team in this game. 





Friday afternoon BUF hosted a Tri match at Eagles Gymnasium amongst John Melvin and Atlantis. Neither game was countable per NCCAA rules, but it was good experience for the Eagles. They were able to win both matches, in 4 sets verses John Melvin and in 3 sets verses Atlantis. This week the team will have their final 3 games of the regular season on the road before playing in the reginal tournament in Pensacola.
