th BUF played against Oglethorpe University. The Eagles were ahead 7-5 after about 4 minutes.
Jordan Isaac put on a nice dribble move at the top of the key and drove to the basket for a lay-up to tie it 5-5, followed by taking it the length of the court to take a foul line jumper for the lead. Oglethorpe drove to the cup on the ensuing possession and
CJ McKinley blocked the shot out of bounds leading to a media timeout. Down 11-14
Oliver Pratt shook a defender with his dribble and drove to the basket hitting a lay-up, making it 13-14. Then
Kalleal Jones stole the ball and dribbled down the floor kicking it out to Pratt behind the 3-point line who swished it to go up 16-14. Jones later had another assist to
Thomas Curlee for a 3-pointer that put the Eagles up 19-17 with 11:45 remaining. After nearly a 2-minute drought Jones assisted to a cutting
Jo'el King who put the Eagles up 4 points at 21-17 for their largest lead of the contest. With 5 minutes left

Omari Henry who nailed a 3-point shot to put the Eagles up 1 at 30-29. The Eagles would not close well, and they went into halftime down 34-42 following a 13-4 run from Oglethorpe.
To begin the second half McKinnley forced the man he was defending to almost go out of bounds and throw a bad pass that was intercepted by
Thomas Curlee. He drove the floor and passed to a cutting Isaac for the lay-up. Isaac took a charge and hit a 3 in the next few minutes of play. Just under 3 minutes into the 2
nd half the Oglethorpe lead was down to 6 points. Six minutes in Isaac passed to McKinley who knocked down a 3-pointer cutting the lead to 4 points, 50-54. The deficit would go back to 7 in the next minute, but McKinley would then take an inbounds pass, dribble the floor, and drive to the basket, finishing through contact. He proceeded to go to the foul line and knock down his shot to complete the and-1. With 13:16 remaining, the score was 55-59. The ensuing trip down the floor McKinley got a steal, dribbled a few times and passed to Isaac but when he did, he ran down to the basket and Isaac passed backed to him for the layup. The Eagles had cut the deficit to 2 at 57-59 with 12:43 left in the game. Momentum soon shifted though, as Oglethorpe went on an 11-0 run putting them up 13 at 70-57. A senior on their team got hot from 3, and in the game, he was 8-10 from downtown. In the end, the Eagles fell 82-96. McKinley finished the game with a team high 21 points, as Isaac finished with 19.

Demorest, GA – The following afternoon, the Eagles played Piedmont University on the road, in a back-to-back for BUF. Isaac got the scoring started. He rebounded a missed 3 by Piedmont and took it the entire way for a lay-up. Then he drove and finished a one-handed layup as he was falling to the floor for a 4-0 advantage to start the game. A 4-0 run by Isaac. McKinnley continued with the hot hand from the prior night knocking down a 3-pointer to put BUF ahead 11-8 just over 3 minutes in. With 14 minutes on the clock
Omari Henry drove in, missed a jump shot but followed it getting his own offensive rebound and then laying it in to put the Eagles up 4-points at 15-11.
David Pina got an offensive rebound and put it back in to maintain the 4-point lead a 17-13 with 12 minutes till halftime. Tied at 21 Pratt would kick it to McKinley in the corner for a 3-pointer to put BUF up by 3, 24-21. This half was back and forth and with 3 minutes left the Eagles were down 2 until Corlee nailed a 3-pointer from the wing to go back up by 1 point. With about 2:20 remaining King secured an offensive rebound and layed it in to go up 3, 31-28. Down 32-33 with seconds left in the half following a Piedmont free throw Henry put moves on his defender as King posted up his man. Henry threw him the ball and King knocked down the turn around jumper to give the Eagles the 1-point advantage at halftime, 34-33.
In the 2
nd half tied at 37 following a Piedmont dunk McKinley passed to Issac for the layup making it 39-37 BUF. With 13 and a half minutes to play Isaac blocked a shot and grabbed it, throwing it up ahead to Henry who dove to the basket and was fouled. He hit both free throws to put the lead back at 2 points, 47-45. However, BUF would not lead again. Piedmont got a steal and hit a 3, then followed that with a dunk. With another steal, BUF fouled a 3-point shooter, after which technical fouls were called. They got to shoot 7 free throws and hit 6 of them. A tie game went to a 9-point game in about 45 seconds of in game action, an 11-0 Piedmont run. Later, Piedmont fouled Henry and got a technical so he got 4 foul shots, and he hit all 4 to close the gap to 5 at 56-61 with 9:21 to go. The Eagles would not be able to cut into it, and in the end, lost by 10, 78-88. Henry finished with a game and team high 20 points, McKinnley with 16, and King had 11 points 12 rebounds for a double-double.

Mount Vernon, GA – Wednesday December 10 BUF was again on the road to take on a 9-2 NAIA team Brewton Parker. To start the game King hit a 3 assisted by McKinley to go up 3-2 but that would be BUF's lone lead of the game. It was soon 3-11 and then 11-32. Going into half the Eagles trailed 28-54.
Solomon Sutton made his return from injury in this game, and he had missed a few weeks dealing with an injury. He assisted to Henry for a 3 pointer, then later Henry hit 2 free throws and another 3 pointer. For 8 consecutive BUF points. With about 13 minutes remaining Isaac drove to the basket and made a shot as he was fouled, he went to the line and made the free throw to complete the 3-point play. The Eagles fought hard in the 2
nd half and won 51-47 but lost the game 101-79.
