Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Albany, GA – The Lady Eagles faced off against Albany State University in a double header.

Game 1
Harley Daniels got the nod for BUF and pitched a complete game, serving as the only pitcher in this contest.
After 2 innings, the teams were scoreless. In the top of the 3rd, the Lady Eagles struck first. Sarah Priester singled on a line drive to center field and then advanced to 2nd when the next batter grounded out. With 2 outs, Olivia Spooner came to the plate and hit a shot to center field that scored Priester and was good for a double. After the top of the 3rd, the Eagles led 1-0.
In the bottom of the inning, ASU responded by scoring 4 runs. Innings 5 and 6 were scoreless for the Eagles, but ASU added 2 more runs in the 6th.
Down 1-6, the Eagles needed 5 runs in the 7th to extend the game. Elizabeth Hancock led off and was hit by a pitch. The next batter grounded out, but Hancock advanced to 2nd. Lacey Goddin followed with a walk. The next batter hit into a fielder's choice, and both runners advanced.
With 2 outs, Maya Griffin stepped up. On a 1-2 count, she hit a line drive to left field that scored Hancock and Goddin, making it 3-6. Janni Murrey came up next and reached base on an error, allowing Griffin to advance to 3rd. Daniels was up with 2 on, knowing an out would end the game. After taking a ball and fouling off 2 pitches, she connected on a hit to right field that scored Griffin. It was now 4-6 Eagles.
That would be the final score, but the tying run made it to the plate for the Lady Eagles. There were some positives to take away from the game.
 


Game 2
This game would be forgettable for the Lady Eagles. In the 1st, ASU hit a home run and scored 3 runs. Sarah Priester singled in the 3rd inning, but otherwise the Eagles did not record a hit. In the end, they lost 0-8.
