Lady Eagles win exciting game during 1st Regional series

Saturday BUF Softball played Paine College in Augusta, Georgia. On the weekend baseball played home games against the same school.

Game 1
BUF was up to the plate first, Lacey Goddin was the 2nd batter of the game and she hit a single. She went to 2nd on a ground ball, but there was a throwing error and she rounded the bases, sliding home to take a 1-0 lead. Harley Daniels started and was the only pitcher in this game as she threw all 7 innings. Paine scored an unearned run to tie it 1-1. In the top of the 5th, the Lady Eagles regained the lead. Jamie Jackson hit a line drive to center to start it off with a double and she advanced to 3rd on a groundball. Jacey Nelson laid down a bunt allowing her to go to 1st base and bring in Jackson to score. Paine would score 2 more to win the 1st of 2, but the Lady Eagles were close and now it was only a matter of time.
