The winner of Student Athlete of the Month is Janni Murray. In March, her batting average was .449, leading the team. Murray had 22 hits and 13 RBI's, also leading the team in both categories. In the Paine College 12-5 win on March 14, she went 5-5 with 4 RBI's and 3 runs, including a triple. For March, her longest hit streak was 6 games, she had 7 multi-hit games, and recorded at least 1 hit in 13 of 16 games. She also had a stretch in March of 11 consecutive at-bats with a hit.

Murray wears number 24 now, as she has her whole life playing sports. The junior from Dufiniak Springs went to a JUCO before BUF and was looking for somewhere to go for her last 2 years. Coach Albury attended a game she played in Enterprise, Alabama and from their she decided to attend BUF.
