This summer, Baptist University of Florida (BUF) is thrilled to host a series of dynamic Women's Volleyball Camps, led by Head Coach Thais Franca. These camps are designed to "disciple, develop, and display" the potential of every athlete, providing high-level volleyball training within a Christ-centered environment. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, BUF's camps offer a unique opportunity to enhance your skills, build character, and grow in your faith.

Meet Coach Thais Franca:

Coach Thais Franca brings a wealth of experience to BUF, both as a player and a coach. Her passion for developing athletes extends beyond the court, focusing on spiritual growth and character development. As Athletic Director Nathaniel Hughes stated, "Her heart for the Lord and for others is evident. Her wealth of knowledge and experience, coupled with her commitment to disciple and develop her athletes make me confident that she will be truly successful as the leader of our program."

Camp Highlights:

1. ELITE OVERNIGHT CAMP (EOC): July 10-12, 2025

• For: Students entering grades 8-12 (8th graders must have club experience).
• Focus: High-level skill refinement, collegiate-style drills, and competitive 6-on-6 play.
• Why Attend? This camp provides an immersive experience for serious athletes looking to elevate their game and prepare for the next level.
• Cost:
  • $290.00 – Commuter (Includes 5 meals and camp T-shirt).
  • $350.00 – Overnight Campers (Includes 7 meals, 2 nights housing, and a camp T-shirt).

2. YOUTH POSITION AND SKILL CAMP (YPSC): July 15-17, 2025

• For: Girls entering grades 6-8.
• Focus: Individual skill development, positional training (setters, middle blockers, outside/opposite hitters, liberos), and team drills.
• Why Attend? This camp offers specialized instruction for young athletes, helping them build a strong foundation in volleyball.
• Cost: $225.00 (Includes 3 meals and a camp T-shirt).

3. POSITION CAMP (PC): July 21-23, 2025

• For: Students entering grades 8-12 (8th graders must have club experience).
• Focus: Position-specific training, offensive and defensive systems, and competitive drills, culminating in an end-of-camp tournament.
• Why Attend? This camp is ideal for athletes with aspirations to play at a higher level, providing intensive training in a team-focused environment.
• Cost: $230.00 (Includes 3 meals and a camp T-shirt).

4. MINI EAGLES CAMP (MEC): July 24-25, 2025

• For: Girls in grades K-5.
• Focus: Basic volleyball fundamentals, skills, footwork, and fun games.
• Why Attend? This camp introduces young girls to the sport in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere, fostering a love for volleyball.
• Cost:
  • $70.00 per day (Includes a camp T-shirt).
  • $100.00 for both days (Includes a camp T-shirt).

A Faith-Centered Approach:

At BUF, we believe in developing the whole athlete. Coach Franca and her staff are dedicated to "discipling" student-athletes, using volleyball as a platform for spiritual growth and character development.

Camp Location and Details:

• All camps will be held at the Wellness Center on the BUF campus: 5400 College Drive, Graceville, FL 32440.
• Campers should bring athletic clothing, kneepads, and water bottles. Overnight campers, please refer to the Eagles Volleyball Camps website for a full packing list.
